We collect what we need to collect your laundry, wash it and bring it back, and to count how many people find us. We do not sell your details. This page says what we hold, why, who else sees it, and how to change or remove it.
Clinco is a laundry pickup and delivery service in Lagos, based in Akoka, Lagos Mainland. You can reach us about anything on this page at support@useclinco.com.
When you book (with or without an account):
If you make an account: your email, name and phone number, and a password. We keep only a scrambled form of the password, never the password itself. We also email you short sign-in and verification codes.
When you pay: payment is taken on the page of our payment partner, Flutterwave. Your card details go to them and never reach us. We keep the payment status, its reference and the name on the paying account.
When you visit the site: we count visits and the steps of booking. See “Counting visitors” below.
We use PostHog to count visits and to see where people drop out of booking. It is set up to be as light as we can make it:
It does keep a random ID in your browser so that one visit is not counted as ten, and it notes how you arrived. Our printed flyers and stickers carry a QR code with a short label (for example ?s=flyer), and we keep that label for 30 days and attach it to your order, so we know which flyer or sticker reached you. It is only a label.
If you would rather not be counted at all, open useclinco.com/?track=off on that device. To undo it, use ?track=on.
When you sign in we set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a security cookie that protects forms from being sent by other sites. Both are needed for the site to work. Your browser also keeps, on your own device, the booking you are part way through filling in, the label described above, and whether you closed the offer banner. None of these are used to advertise to you.
We do not sell your personal data or rent it to advertisers.
For as long as we need it to run your orders and your account, and for as long as we are required to keep business and payment records. When we no longer need it we delete it or make it anonymous. If you delete your account we will remove what we are not required to keep.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, stop using it for a purpose, or give you a copy. Where we are using your details because you agreed, you can take that agreement back at any time.
Email support@useclinco.com from the address on your account and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Clinco is for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
If what we do changes in a way that matters, we will change this page and its date. The date at the top is the version in force.
